Upward Dissent Scale
The 20-item Upward Dissent Scale (UDS) measures how likely employees are to express dissent to management using different strategies or tactics for dissent expression. These include prosocial dissent expression which involves providing solutions and facts along with dissent, repetition or the continued expression of dissent, circumventing or going around one's direct supervisor to express dissent, and threatening resignation. The measure appeared in Communication Research Reports (Kassing & Kava, 2013). Click on the highlighted text to download the Upward Dissent Scale.
